One day you are walking along the deck of the ship when you hear a loud bang. You start to run as you see smoke coming from the far end of the ship. You run towards the room where your patients are waiting to receive treatment from the doctor. Just as you arrive at the door to their room you hear another loud bang and you run to where the bang came and there was a man on the floor bleeding and then another bang so she ran to it but no one is there and she hears a louder bang so she runs as fast as she can and she hears two more shots so screams and then runs to it and there is some men on the floor bleeding so she took them to a room and healed them.
Hi Laki,
ReplyDeleteI'm reading your blog from Canada as I am Rachel Williams' mom and she's invited me to be one of the lucky people reading blogs from the Summer Learning Journey. I'm so glad that you've decided to participate in this program through your summer holidays. Well done you!
There are so very many interesting stories about WW II that it can be hard to know where to start. My father was in the Canadian airforce during World War II and my husband's father was also in the airforce. My dad served his time in Canada, servicing airplanes, but my father-in-law actually finished the war in England where he was posted on a base as a short-wave radio communicator. It's probably much easier for me to 'imagine' the war than it is for you because I heard stories from my dad and father-in-law, and from my mother. A number of her friends didn't come home from the war - it was a very sad time...
My suggestion to you is that you read the instructions for the activities and try to follow them. For instance, Activity 1 asks you to name 2 events that happened and you only mention one. The 2nd activity asks you to learn about a Victoria Cross recipient from World War II but you write about a Kiwi born in the 1800's, long before WWII took place.
Perhaps you could ask a friend to work on this blogging program with you if you have any difficulty understanding what the activities involve.
Just have fun with it!! So much to learn!!!
And I hope you're having a lovely summer holiday.
